MONSTER ENERGY NASCAR CUPS SERIES RACE WEEKEND COMING SOON!

09/18/2018 by DeniseB Leave a Comment

NASCAR at the Monster Mile is returning to Dover International Speedway for a triple-header weekend long of racing and race related activities the first weekend in October – October 5 to 7, 2018.  NASCAR racing is one of America’s favorite spectator sports and this weekend promises to be an event to remember!

Last Years Recap:

Waste Master Solutions Had a Blast at the Monster Mile NASCAR Weekend!

Last October, Kyle Busch won the race after a late pass of Chase Elliott who ended up finishing in second place. Which driver will make his mark on the Monster Mile this year?

While the main attraction for fans is the opportunity to watch the top drivers of the world battle on the ‘Monster Mile’ course, there are plenty of other  family-fun things to do at the FanZone located just outside of Turn 4 of the track. The FanZone offers a number of activities all weekend long, featuring games, free sampling, live music and more.

This event is expected to create a large amount trash, but thanks to a partnership between the racetrack and Waste Master Solutions, a good portion of the refuse will be recycled. Color coded recycling bins are placed in prevalent locations around the speedway. This has made it more convenient and accessible for race fans and patrons to recycle.

Dover Speedway and Dover Downs Hotel and Casino’s central focus is on reducing its carbon footprint.

“We are proud to bring on Waste Master Solutions to manage our like-minded goal of protecting and preserving the environment by reducing our environmental impact and keeping otherwise recyclable material out of landfills,” said Ed Sutor, president and CEO of Dover Downs Hotel & Casino. – News Release

Waste Masters teams up with Dover Speedway and Dover Downs to do what they do best–help larger companies and organizations manage and reduce their solid waste production through innovative environmental services such as recycling, commercial and industrial waste solutions, concrete washout and porta pottys.

By reducing solid waste, Masterson says Dover International Speedway will not only increase recycling opportunities, but also provide an even more enjoyable experience for staff and visitors.

“We hope that we help them meet the goals of the people that come in and out of the casinos and the racetracks and other events there, by just having better brand awareness,” says Masterson.–WDEL

Waste Masters Solutions’ Hometown Hero Award for 2017 was presented to the Delaware State Police Mounted Patrol in a ceremony before the “Apache Warrior 400 presented by Lucas Oil” Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series playoff race at Dover International Speedway.

The honorees were introduced as part of Sunday’s pre-race activities and received a $2,017 check for the organization from Waste Masters Solutions; a Delaware based commercial waste management company that has strong roots within the community.

Established in 2012, the Delaware State Police Mounted Patrol began with three members and has served as a key outreach unit to communities and provided security to some of the most popular events in The First State.

The DSP Mounted Patrol has grown to include a full-time Trooper and 11 part-time riders and six horses that work approximately 115 events per year. The DSP Mounted Patrol also performs many community outreach appearances, such as visiting schools and businesses in all three Delaware counties throughout the year.

Congratulations to all involved. Waste Masters Solutions has partnered with Dover International Speedway, Dover Downs Hotel & Casino to provide recycling and waste reduction solutions since January 2014.
