The Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series playoff race at Dover International Speedway was last weekend and Waste Master Solutions proudly sponsored RCRracing, Ryan Newman and the No. 31 Waste Masters Chevrolet at the Monster Mile!
The weekend was full of many milestones: On Saturday, Ryan Blaney was the winner of the “Use Your Melon. Drive Sober 200” NASCAR XFINITY Series playoff race with Justin Allgaier and William Byron placing second and third, respectively. Kyle Busch beat out Chase Elliott by just 0.357 seconds and Elliott’s teammate, Jimmie Johnson, finished third in the “Apache Warrior 400 presented by Lucas Oil” Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Race on Sunday, October 1, 2017.
Waste Masters Solutions’ Hometown Hero Award for 2017 was presented to the Delaware State Police Mounted Patrol in a ceremony before the “Apache Warrior 400 presented by Lucas Oil” Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series playoff race at Dover International Speedway.
The honorees were introduced as part of Sunday’s pre-race activities and received a $2,017 check for the organization from Waste Masters Solutions; a Delaware based commercial waste management company that has strong roots within the community.
Established in 2012, the Delaware State Police Mounted Patrol began with three members and has served as a key outreach unit to communities and provided security to some of the most popular events in The First State.
The DSP Mounted Patrol has grown to include a full-time Trooper and 11 part-time riders and six horses that work approximately 115 events per year. The DSP Mounted Patrol also performs many community outreach appearances, such as visiting schools and businesses in all three Delaware counties throughout the year.
Congratulations to all involved. Waste Masters Solutions has partnered with Dover International Speedway, Dover Downs Hotel & Casino to provide recycling and waste reduction solutions since January 2014.
Don’t miss your chance to support several charitable causes at the 8th Annual Monster Miles for a Cause Saturday, October 12.
